Description
Photograph of Mrs. Purcell and her mother by an old adobe house in San Gabriel, June 1930. A large pecan tree with thick branches and small leaves stands at center with Mrs. Purcell and her mother enjoying the shade below. Mrs. Purcell stands in a lightly-colored dress and short hair on the left with her hands folded behind her back. Her mother stands on the right with her hair tied in a bun and her arm laid on her stomach. She wears lightly-colored stockings and a light pendant which stand out against her loose, dark dress. A fence contains the yard which extends to the right while the old adobe house shades the grass on the left.
