Image of a text-based advertisement for clothing, hats, caps, and furnishing goods at a store in New Bedford, Massachusetts, printed in the style of a theater broadside; advertised items include all colors of cassimere, coats, overcoats, doeskin pants, single and double breasted vests, white and colored shirts, silk bows, scarves, hosiery, and underwear.
"Standard Print, New Bedford."--text, bottom center margin. "Entrance, 64 Purchase Street. / Admission, Free. Children, Half Price. / Doors Open at 6 A.M. Performance to commence at 7. / No extra charge for reserved seats. / Grand complimentary / benefit to the public. / The Proprietor takes this method to return his sincere thanks to the public for the liberal patronage bestowed upon / him since opening, in return for which he will give a Grand Complimentary Benefit, commencing May 6th, 1875, / on which occasion will be presented / Four Good Pieces. / Thursday, May 6th, / And every day until further notice will be presented, (it being our own production,) the very popular tragedy, / Long & Short Tail Coats / observe the cast: / fine diagonal... / Intermission to allow those making large purchases time for Lunch, &c. / To be followed with a melo-drama entitled / Good Fits! / cassimere pants... / To conclude with the Spectacular Afterpiece, in two Acts, / Hats, Caps, / and Furnishing Goods! / Act I. ...
