Description
This aerial photo shows Barton Road and the Southern Pacific Railroad. Along the railroad tracks are two citrus packinghouses called Whittier one and two after the man who constructed them in the early 1890s. During the 1930s the buildings were taken over by the Bryn Mawr Grower's association and the Norwood Fruit Company. Later in the 1950s the companies merged with the Cochella Valley Growers.
