Image shows school children planting trees in the patio area of Malaga Cove School. A man in a suit and hat [possibly Col. J.C. Low, who presided over the event] is observing the activity, with the school's tower visible in background. As reported in the Palos Verdes Bulletin (May 1926, p. 2), "The children of Palos Verdes, their parents, teachers and friends, aided by members of the Board of Education, celebrated Arbor Day on April 20th, by planting Oriental Plane Trees on the Malaga Cove School grounds."
