Description: Bareback bronc riding, where the horse has complete freedom to buck in any direction, is attempted by only the most skilled of cowboys. Here, Ed Mayfield shows the kind of thrilling action to expect at the big 30th annual Newhall-Saugus Rodeo to be staged May 5 and 6, 1956. Photo was taken at Hanford in 1954. The horse's name is Skid Row.
