Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated July 13, 1962 partially reads, "'You hold your breath...and you just go down as fast as you can go.' That is how Mrs. Francesca Borra, a 27-year-old champion skin diver visiting the Valley, explains her record-breaking 82-foot descent into the Gulf of Portifino waters off the Italian Riviera several months ago. She spent the day at the Rose Marie Reid swim suit company, 7821 Orion Ave., Van Nuys, getting some information for an article she plans to write for an Italian skin diving magazine, 'Italian Submerged World.' Mrs. Borra, who is half English and half Italian, remained underwater for 56 seconds and descended 25 meters to break the world female skin diving record of 20 meters." Pictured, at right, are Francesca Borra and Vittorio Sanguinetti, Italian trade commissioner and host to Mrs. Borra's visit as they view the latest swim fashions being modeled.
