Description
"Many ethnic immigrants, including the Chinese, Japanese, Hindis, and Mexicans labored on the farms in Fair Oaks. Pictured here around 1915 is Chinese immigrant Jim Gee. Gee worked and lived with the Dewey family almost his entire adult life. He was buried in the Heintz family plot in the cemetery downtown--the Heintz family originally owned the Dewey farm before Harry Dewey married Bertha Heintz in the late 1800s."
