Photograph article dated February 2, 1962 partially reads, "U.S. Atty. Gen. Robert F. Kennedy today promised at least a partial Federal Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the bombings Thursday night of two ministers' homes in North Hollywood and Canoga Park... Police today said they had no leads to the bombings that damaged homes belonging to the Rev. John G. Simmons, 44, 4351 Beck Ave., North Hollywood, and the Rev. Brooks R. Walker, 27, 8100 Sale Ave., Canoga Park. The bombings happened while the two men appeared together in a panel discussion on right-wing political extremism. The meeting, 'The Extreme Right - Threat to Democracy?', was nearly over at Temple Sinai, West Los Angeles, when they learned of the bombings." Photograph caption reads, "Mr. Simmons shows glass where bomb piece entered home. Flying debris nearly hit Mrs. Simmons sitting in the kitchen."
