Photograph caption dated March 17, 1965 reads "Pierce College first baseman Billy Mason is already [sic] to whip the ball around the infield after making the putout on Valley College's Arthur Martinez. Pierce dumped host Valley 6-2, yesterday." Los Angeles Valley College is in Van Nuys.
