Photograph caption dated August 31, 1955 reads, "One of the first fall events calendared by a Valley woman's club is the carnival which will be held Sept. 9 in the Dexter Park Club House by Kagel Canyon Woman's Club. Funds raised will be set aside to provide a Christmas program for Canyon children, including a gift for each one. This follows the pattern of all of the club's activities, for it is an organization unique in its purpose - that of providing recreation for the children and teenagers of the Canyon community." Photograph caption reads, "Mrs. Edward Meyer - Heads Canyon Club."
