“Missions Assomptionistes au Congo Belge (Ituri). Femme indigène revenant du travail. Elle porte ses outlis sur la tête, son enfant sur le dos, et, dans le main, la précieuse poignée de sel, son salaire.” A woman on her way home from working carries her tools on her head and her baby on her back. She holds a handful of precious salt that she received as her wages.
