Photograph caption dated June 11, 1956 reads, "Gary Lawrence Pudney, 21, grins as his dad, Col. Lawrence D. Pudney, USAFR, of 5026 Biloxi Ave., North Hollywood, proudly pins on his second lieutenant's bar. Gary was awarded diploma from UCLA and commission in Air Force reserve. He will enter pilot's training, following lead of dad who spent 20 years active duty as pilot, is now in reserve."
