Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated March 5, 1962 partially reads, "San Fernando police today sought a young gunman who threatened two Catholic priests with death and then robbed them of $2,550. Officers said a woman who preceded the robber to St. Ferdinand's Church, 1109 Coronel St., Sunday supposedly to discuss a marital problem, apparently was his accomplice. The Rev. Jarlath Walsh, O.M.I., said the woman, about 21 years old, telephoned for an appointment and came in about 6:30 p.m. A few minutes later the man appeared, brandishing a revolver... The Rev. William O'Brien, O.M.I., inadvertently walked in on the holdup and both priests were herded into the rectory basement." Fathers O'Brien, left, and Walsh view empty money bag.
