Photograph caption dated May 17, 1965 reads "The North Hollywood Optimist Club will hold a bicycle safety check at Burbank School, 12215 Albers St., North Hollywood, from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Sandy Caprio, 10, front, is the first student to have her bike inspected by Elmer Greening, Optimists safety chairman for mechanical defects. Looking on are Mrs. Albert Amerian, PTA safety chairman, and Robert Mink, North Hollywood assistant postmaster. Members of the Optimists clubs will give out bicycle licenses, take bike driving tests and offer instructions on how to handle a bike properly."
