Description
Henry and Mariana Fostine, standing in a street in front of a series of buildings and Mount Tamalpais. Henry Fostine was superintendent of the street department of Mill Valley from 1918-1961. Mariana, née Reis, immigrated from St. George's Island, Azores, where Henry's parents were also from. Henry's father Manual Fostine was a early stone mason and road builder for Marin County. Both were very active in the Portuguese community.
