Photograph caption dated May 11, 1950 reads "Two Valleyites, Mrs. Sophie Falter, left, and Mrs. Amanda Oesterlein, wait ready to depart for Germany. Mrs. Oesterlein, of Van Nuys, has not been to her native country for 20 years. It is first trip for Mrs. Falter in 14 years. She is Sepulveda resident. Both will travel by American Airlines through arrangements of Koven Travel Service."
