Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989. Chartered in 1897, the LACC built its first course--a nine-holer--in the West Adams area. The ultra-exclusive club moved to its present-day location along Wilshire Boulevard in 1921 as architect George Thomas designed two sublime courses.
