Description
Photograph of a view of a landscaped yard, Los Angeles, ca. 1920. A wooden fence forms the left perimeters of the yard. A crumpled newspaper lies near the fence (foreground), next to a taro plant. The only legible writing on the newspaper reads: "The Sun Drug Co.". There is a small pool decorated with tiny flower bushes on the edge and a bridge made of large tree branches creating a passage over the pool (center). There are several ornamental lamps scattered throughout the garden (one in the foreground, one across the pool, and one in the distance). Just beyond the pool are the stairs leading up to an elevated gazebo that is constructed of bamboo. Trees surround the yard and its leaves litter the floor.
