Description
View of run-down adobe buildings located in the desert community of Ehrenberg, Arizona. Ehrenberg is located on the Colorado River (partially visible in the background), near the border with California and Interstate 10. The town, a former Army Fort, has often been labeled a ghost town and is a former home of the late Hadji "Hi Jolly" Ali (1828-1902). "Hi Jolly" was a Greek-Syrian specialist and first camel drivers hired by US Army in 1856 to lead the camel driver experiment in the Southwest. Photo dated: November 1936.
