Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Edward G. Robinson, Jr. was born on March 19, 1933 in Los Angeles. He was the son of legendary actor Edward G. Robinson and actress Gladys Lloyd. He was an actor, appearing in a few films and on television series. Robinson, Jr. lead a troubled life and was known for being a playboy. He started drinking as a teenager and got into trouble with the law numerous times after becoming an adult. He eloped at the age of 19, had a daughter, and was divorced a few years later. He was arrested multiple times for charges including check fraud, drunken driving, and assault and robbery. He married twice more and died of a heart attack on February 26, 1974. Photograph caption dated February 15, 1952 reads "Eddie, 19, says his famous actor father banished him from home because of romance and elopement with 'Franny.'" Eddie, son of Edward G. Robinson, eloped in Mexico with actress Frances Chisholm in February, 1952. His parents disapproved and cut him off from a $70 a week allowance. The two are sitting together reading the book Stories for Two by Ferenc Molnar.
