Description: Plans call for a good pitch for the City of Hope in this session of Charles Howard, President of the Sportsmen's Club for the medical center, and the Dodgers' game winning pitcher, Sandy Koufax. Sandy is one of the many sports and film celebrities backing the Sportsmen's Club Fun Day for the City of Hope at Pacific Ocean Park. The all-out POP event will aid the Medical Center in its fight against catastrophic diseases. Photo dated: June 19, 1961.
