Photograph caption dated October 27, 1953 reads, "North Hollywood Rotary Club's Jim Wilson, organization's first president, center, visits the club and discusses transportation. Wilson, a member of the Metropolitan Transit Authority formed to build a Monorail line from the Valley to Long Beach, was introduced by Sydney Hodemaker, left, program chairman, and welcomed by Buss Blanchard, immediate past president of the club, substituting for Al Lane, president."
