Description
Photograph of workers (some Asian Americans) working jubilantly in an olive grove, Los Angeles, ca.1900. A man stands along the street supervising (?) the workers. The workers are lined up along the orchards. Many are seen standing on, working around or moving their stepladders. Buckets and handbags are scattered about near the area where the men are working. The men are holding sticks used to harvest the olives (or knock the olives off their branches?).
