Photograph of Mission San Buenaventura, 1904. Exterior view of front and east side. The street and sidewalk in front of the church are devoid of people. There are crosses at the apex of the roof proper as well as on top of the bell tower. A utility pole is in front to the right of the entrance. Next door is another building (wooden siding construction). A masonry retaining wall separates the mission property from the sidewalk. A hill and a few other buildings are visible in the background.
