"The San Francisco and San Jose Railroad Company will run an Excursion Train...leaving the Depot on Brannan Street...Refreshments can be had at San Mateo, while stages will be in readiness to take passengers to Crystal Springs and return them in time for the back train. (See Oakes & Burne's Advertisement). A band of music will accompany the train as far as Belmont, where they will furnish music to those who wish to engage in Dancing...(See Yonkers and Clark and Waltermire's Advertisement.)"
