Photograph caption dated March 28, 1964 reads, "Sixth graders at Fair Avenue School in North Hollywood wanted to have an Easter parade. When their teacher, Mrs. Paula Goldsmith, told them there was no time during school to make funny hats for the parade, they decided to design their own creations at home. Individually they gathered materials from home and constructed their hats. When they were finished with their project, Mrs. Goldsmith decided that the hats were so imaginative that the whole school should see the youngster's work. So, the day before easter vacation, the students had their Easter Parade--before every class at the school. Easter creations pictured above, are modeled by, front, Karen Stewartson, left, and Robin Olson, and, back, John Foster, left, and Kenneth Wales, all 11 and all of North Hollywood."
