Assignment: Veterans' gifts. 29, L to R: Jack Stewart, chairman of the Los Angeles Central Labor Council (AFL) veterans' committee Col. R.A. Bringham, manager of the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Center and Carolyn Reid, one of the many patients who were presented with gifts by the committee. Mrs. Reid served in the Army Nurse Corp during World War I. 47-48, L to R: Jack Stewart, chairman of the Los Angeles Central Labor Council (AFL) veterans' committee gives some of many gifts to Richard Hunt and Carolyn Reid, World War I veterans at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration. The committee gave a television set, 12 tables radios, 45 bed jackets, 500 wallets and 7500 packages of cigarettes."
