Description
Six negatives in envelope labeled, "Sec. of War Dern, Dec. 12-35." Documents the visit to Moffett Field by Secretary of War George Dern, December 12, 1935. During his tour he visited the TC-13, one of the two largest army airships. He is seen posing with the blimp in these photos, in the hangar once occupied by the U.S.S. Macon. The man in the photo with him is Lieut. Col. Horace N. Helsen, station commander. See news articles attached.
