Photograph of a view of Wilshire Boulevard from a car showing the May Company building, April 28, 1964. Wilshire is a crowded, paved street at center. Many automobiles can be seen in the road and parked on the edges. The street is lined with an assortment of buildings, including the four-story May Company at left. The California Federal Bank building can be seen under construction in the distance at center (Twenty eight stories, completed in late 1964). Legible signs include, from left to right: "4% Auto Loans Metropolitan Bank", "Royal Food Center", "May Co.", "Rams Coffee Shop Restaurant", "Prudential", "Chevy For down to Worth Value", "Miracle Mile", "Coca Cola", "Thrifty", "Lane's Cocktails", and "Yarns Unlimited Knitting Machines".
