Photograph caption dated October 11, 1955 reads, "Linda Woods, 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Woods, North Hollywood, explains new dog quarantine law to her pet, Daisy. Quarantine, ordered by health officials to halt spread of rabies, will impose severe penalties on violators. Dogs must be confined to owner's premises unless on leash."
