In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 47.
Large mansion sits on the corner; 3 stories with basement; entrance is not indicated but may be on the extreme right of the structure as a decorative roof extends beyond the side; in front of this a man is walking; 1st floor has rectangular windows; 2nd floor has tall round-arched windows and 3rd floor rectangular windows, some with balconies in front; bay window structures and rectangular sections seem to protrude from the building; decorative cornices supported by corbels separte 2nd from 3rd floors on sections; flat roof has a chimney.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
