Photograph caption dated July 20, 1955 reads, "Ronald L. Curtis points to sign placed on Hollywood telephone pole at Beachwood and Cocos drives by irate motorist who was ticketed for speeding. Sign has had noticeable effect in reducing speed of passing cars."
