Description
San Francisco business man and philanthropist Walter S. Johnson and family pose next to a large stone wheel and mortar and pestle at his home. His home at the time was the Augustin Bernal Adobe, which he purchased in 1940. He restored the adobe and added two rooms to it in 1945. The adobe home, also known as Rancho El Valle, is located on Foothill Road in Pleasanton, California.
