Description
View of the city is looking southeast in the 1870's. View is towards the city from the hill at Bishop Street and North Broadway, taken 1873. The Southern Pacific Railroad extended from Commercial Yards along Alameda Street in July 1873. It will be noted there were no tracks on Alameda Street when this picture was taken.
