Note translation: Published as photo no 29 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuchâtel 1895. (RI). - Caption there: "The Bremen Mission station Amedzofe. Here, north-east of Anum, in Togo-Land (German territory), the Bremen Mission built a health station a few years ago. It is situated on a narrow ridge of hills, whose very steep cliffs and chasms often remind us of Switzerland. Amedzofe is about 2150 feet above sea level. In the foreground you can see some huts of the heathen town."
