Description
Campaigning to defeat California Proposition 64 are (left to right) Paul Wysocki, Wiggsy Sivertsen, and Ken Yeager.
Proposition 64 which failed to pass would have declared that AIDS is an infectious, contagious and communicable disease. Individuals with the disease would have been subject to quarantine and isolation statutes. Wiggsy Sivertsen co-founded BAYMEC and GALA, the Gay and Lesbian/Bisexual Student Alliance at SJSU, and helped organize the first indoor Gay Pride Day Celebration at SJSU in 1975. Ken Yeager was later elected to San Jose City Council and to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. Paul Wysocki was a local political activist. Written on verso: "Wysocki, Sivertsen, Yeager campaign to defeat Prop. 64."
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
