Formed in 1981 during the mod revival in Los Angeles, The Untouchables are the city's first ska-influenced band. Wildly popular, they packed in the crowds at clubs on the Sunset Strip and appeared as a scooter gang in the cult hit film, Repo Man. Photograph caption dated February 7, 1986 reads, "The Untouchables, from left, Glenn Symmonds, founding member Clyde Grimes, Caine Carruthers, Anthony Brewster and Jerry miller will be at the Hollywood Palladium Sunday. Missing are Untouchables Churck Askerneese and Tim Moynahan." The band is shown at their rehearsal studio near Inglewood High School.
