Photograph of the Van Nuys Hotel on the northwest corner of Fourth Street and Main Street, Los Angeles, ca.1902. The six-story block building stands at center on the corner, a cloth canopy extended out from the entrance to either side. A horse-drawn carriage is parked along the sidewalk to the right, while more buildings are visible in the distance along the street to the left, where a square truck has parked. A sign in the left distance reads "[...] Retail Pure Drugs [...]".
