Photograph was edited for publication purposes Travel Town, an outdoor museum in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, was dedicated in 1952. The Southern Pacific Company, was willing to donate an obsolete locomotive to be the first train on exhibit. The Los Angeles City Recreation and Park Department's museum is visited each week by hundreds of youngsters and adults who are interested in the development of transportation. The focus of the museum is rail transportation, but other items are on display.
