The General Atomics facility, represented by this model, was designed by William Pereira and Charles Luckman and built in 1958 at 3550 General Atomics Ct. in San Diego. General Atomics was created for the purpose of harnessing the power of nuclear technologies for the benefit of mankind. GA is one of the world's leading resources for development in nuclear science. Areas of specialty include: remotely operated surveillance aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.
