Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Armory in Pomona, which doubled as the headquarters for the Salvation Army and the Second Street Park, ca.1900. The large, romanesque building is shown at center, visible behind a swath of shrubs in the foreground. The building itself is two stories tall and appears to be shaped very much like a chapel with its high-slung windows and spired roof decorations. Three arches delineate the entrance, while a small pavillion extends from it on either side. Potted plants are visible at the top of the steps leading to the entrance.
