This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
No written text. View looks at the south side of Market just east of 5th Street following the 1906 disaster. A Quick Lunch counter and a small building housing the Smith-Rice Company have been built. A wagon full of bricks is parked at the sidewalk. Electric streetcar overhead has been strung on Market but the old cable structure has not been removed. The ruins of Lincoln School are visible at the left. The Mint can be seen in the center behind the shell of a building on 5th Street. In the distance, a flag is flying atop a new building on Mission Street.
