Photograph caption dated September 9, 1953 reads, "Prize subject - Spice, champion in five different competitions, is held by Nordfelt, standing, as farm advisers learn latest clipping techniques. Carl Downing, Los Angeles County, clips as Wes Humphrey, Orange County, looks on. Nordfelt's ranch, Laurelwood Acres, 9325 Topanga Canyon Blvd., was chosen by the university because it is one of the world's largest and best equipped goat dairies. It houses about 1,000 goats, 640 of which are milked daily for delivery to Southland dairies for home delivery." Pictured are, left to right, Carl Downing, Wes Nordfelt, and Wes Humphrey.; See images #00116223 through #00116225 for all photos in this series.
