Description
Note: Als Nr. 79 publiziert im Album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuenburg 1895. (RI). (RI).
Note translation: Published as no 79 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuchâtel 1895. (RI). - Caption in the album: "The interior of the chapel in Abetifi. We see more than half of the chapel, with the listeners who come to the church service regularly. The roof is made of 'Odum'-wood and a strong construction was built on pillars to resist the heavy storms. In the background we see the altar, the baptismal font and the catechist in the pulpit. During the services the men sit on the right side, the women on the left. Five years ago the chapel had to be enlarged, now once again there seems to be too little space."
