Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated October 18, 1963 reads, "Police officers D.N. Burton, R.S. Fisher and C.N. Wright, from left, hold down struggling Joseph Van Meter, 35, following his chase with a shotgun after Barbara Ann Laramore [sic], 24." The article partially reads, "Joseph Van Meter, Sun Valley, was driving in Studio City with Barbara Larmore, Pacoima, Thursday when they had an argument, according to police...Miss Larmore, 24, 10327 Vena Ave., leaped from Van Meter's car near Vineland Ave. and Ventura Blvd. following the argument, said police. Van Meter, 35, 8345 Wheatland Ave., grabbed the unloaded shotgun and gave chase. A bystander called police."
