Los Angeles Supervisor Kenneth Hahn presents recognition awards to Pearl Williams (L) and First Lady Betty Ford during Pepperdine University's annual Foster Grandparents' Day ceremonies. Williams was honored for her service as a foster grandparent on her 106th birthday. Ford was a special guest at the event, which honored participants in the federal foster grandparent program administered by Pepperdine University. The event took place on Pepperdine's Los Angeles campus. complete;
