Photograph caption dated May 17, 1965 reads, "Admiring display at the North Hollywood Woman's Club, 5629 Vineland Ave., are Mrs. H. L. Bowan, an exhibitor, and Mrs. Gladys Sanford, the club's art chairman. Mrs. Bowan is first vice president of the Verdugo Art Association and art teacher at the Senior Art Center in Sunland. The club won three art awards at the recent Sierra-Cahuenga District convention."
