Description
Woman's bonnet of green finely woven silk hand stitched tucks running over the head ear-to-ear. The bonnet is built over a paper-wrapped metal frame forming ribs. Coarsely woven plain fabric comprises the neck curtain at the back of the neck (bavolet). The same coarsely woven fabric comprises the back of the bonnet inside and out, as well as the two chin ties which have been folded and seamed along the long edge. A black plain weave fabric is used on the bias for the neck seam finish. There is no lining.
