Description
Stereo-4879. Orange mount, purple back. [description] Rev. Alfred Lee Brewer was born in Norwich, Conn. in 1831. Came to California in 1865, where established St. Matthew's in San Mateo and started St. Matthew's School adjacent to church. Died in 1899. Church designed by architect Alfred H. Jordan. Church housed memorial chapel with monument in memory of William Davis Merry Howard who's family had donated land for the church.
