Description: The Science and Industry Section of the library was located in the west section of the first floor, with its large government document collection located immediately below in the basement. The San Diego Public Library had collected local and federal government publications since the first Board of Trustees meeting in 1882. In 1950 the Library was appointed an official U.S. Federal Government Documents Repository. Title supplied by cataloger.
